If you haven’t heard of The Verge you have some catching up to do!

As a maker, nerd, and general consumer of thoughtful design The Verge has stood out to me like no other media outlet! It started as an unsuspecting news source a few years back and has grown into a beautifully curated and created source of news on everything from technology to culture as they say on their About Page.

The Verge was founded in 2011 in partnership with Vox Media, and covers the intersection of technology, science, art, and culture. Its mission is to offer in-depth reporting and long-form feature stories, breaking news coverage, product information, and community content in a unified and cohesive manner. The site is powered by Vox Media’s Chorus platform, a modern media stack built for web-native news in the 21st century.

But this post isn’t about the broader mission it is about one of my all time favorite web series… Small Empires!

Small Empires takes you on an adventurous tour through the some of the most note worthy startups around. If you’re still reading this… STOP and go watch every episode of Small Empires!

And once you’ve done that watch the Season 2 Trailer!
